Eventually, feeling dead inside becomes monotonous,it becomes routine,it becomes the norm. The emptiness leads to numbness, and all you have to cling onto is knowingthat you’re in charge ofthis self-destruction.Nothing really changes, nothing really matters,a life becomes wasted away, your youth is fleeting, the best years will pass by with a bitter senseof neutrality, and you wish that you could go back toa time when it was okay to be upset, when it was okay to cry, when it was okay to feel. You have bought into the narrative that has beenimposed onto your life, you perform a smile for the camera. And in that moment, apathy becomes freedom.

Eventually, feeling dead inside
becomes monotonous,
it becomes routine,
it becomes the norm.
The emptiness leads to numbness,
and all you have to cling onto is knowing
that you’re in charge of
this self-destruction.
Nothing really changes,
nothing really matters,
a life becomes wasted away,
your youth is fleeting,
the best years will pass by with a bitter sense
of neutrality,
and you wish that you could go back to
a time when it was okay to be upset,
when it was okay to cry,
when it was okay to feel.
You have bought into the narrative that has been
imposed onto your life,
you perform a smile for the camera.
And in that moment,
apathy becomes freedom.

Poem- Alienation

Every other sentence,

I talk about her.

Every other second

is Lindsay Lohan.

Every other thought

is Lindsay Lohan.

It never stops.

It’s my punishment.

It’s my curse.

It’s Lindsay.

POEM-LINDSAY IS GONE

They saw the inside of my locker.

It’s filled with pictures.

It’s filled with pages with her lyrics.

It’s filled with her movie posters.

They laughed at me.

I forgot to clear my Safari history.

Every link was about Lindsay.
